Creative Services attempts to preflight all files but cannot guarantee that all problems will be detected and can be fixed. The supplier is responsible for providing the correct files and formats and is also responsible for any revisions to digital-ready ads.

Making
a PDF
Create a PostScript or EPS file from your ad. Using Adobe's Acrobat Distiller
v4.0 (or higher), set Job Options or Settings to match GateHouse specs. Drag and
drop your file onto the Acrobat Distiller icon to create the PDF. Open the
file with Acrobat Reader to proof it.

DO NOT use PDF Writer
•
DO NOT Save as PDF from Photoshop, Illustrator or MS Publisher
•
DO NOT use artificial type styles on fonts (no bold, italic, outline etc.)
•
Embed all fonts when creating PDF
•
Convert all color elements to CMYK
•
Send composite files for color ads (not separations)
